Smaug, the dragon from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit," was ultimately killed by Bard the Bowman using a black arrow. After Smaug's death, the people of Lake-town and the dwarves were able to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and its treasure. Smaug's demise allowed for the resolution of the conflict over the treasure and the restoration of peace in the region. **

There is no specific mention in J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" of Smaug pooping in Erebor. However, it can be assumed that as a living creature, Smaug would have had bodily functions like any other creature. The book does describe Smaug as being a creature of great size and power, so it is likely that he would have had some form of waste disposal. However, the book does not go into detail about this aspect of Smaug's existence. **

No, Smaug could not have become more powerful than Sauron. Sauron was a Maia, a powerful and immortal being, while Smaug was a dragon. Sauron's power was vast and he had the ability to manipulate and control others, as well as create powerful artifacts like the One Ring. Smaug, while formidable in his own right, did not possess the same level of inherent power or influence as Sauron. **

Smaug knows that Thorin is called Oakenshield because it is a well-known name among the dwarves. Thorin earned the name Oakenshield after using an oak branch as a shield during a battle. As a powerful and intelligent dragon, Smaug is knowledgeable about the history and reputations of the different races, including the dwarves. Therefore, he is aware of Thorin's nickname and uses it to taunt and intimidate him during their interactions. **

One can forget culture and heritage by not actively engaging with it, by being disconnected from one's roots and community, and by prioritizing other aspects of life over preserving and celebrating one's cultural identity. This can happen through assimilation into a different culture, lack of exposure to one's own cultural traditions and practices, and a lack of interest in learning about one's heritage. Additionally, societal pressures and discrimination can also contribute to the erasure of one's culture and heritage. **

For those who have already seen The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the question might be: What did you think of the portrayal of Smaug? Did you like the addition of the character Tauriel and her romantic subplot with Kili? How did you feel about the changes made to the original story and the expansion of certain scenes? **

Culture refers to the beliefs, customs, arts, and social behaviors of a particular group of people, encompassing a broader range of practices and values. On the other hand, tradition specifically refers to the customs and practices that are passed down from generation to generation within a specific community or society. While culture is more dynamic and can evolve over time, traditions tend to be more static and rooted in history and heritage. **
